Lovely restaurant, excellent food and nice staff. Shame that some of the customers were like animals! Could do with some sound-proofing or louder indian music to reduce the noise from their drunk clientele. Great restaurant otherwise and very affordable, looking forward to the next visit! They do an amazing madras!
10/10!! All the food tastes absolutely delicious and I love how they tried to keep the food warm with the burner which is so thoughtful. The plain nan has surprised me because it’s the first time I tried it with shredded coconut. Everything is at a reasonable price and environment is tidy! I really love this place. ദദ ) I will come again next time when I visit York again, for sure!
The food is fantastic, the service is brilliant, and the atmosphere is what you want when you are eating. Brilliant 10 out of 5 stars!!
My best mate and I stumbled upon this lovely restaurant by accident and it may well be my favourite. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the hospitality was exceptional considering how much we had drank. I’m definitely trying their spiciest curry next time. Thank you!
As our whole family would say this is the place to visit! Wonderful food, the owners and staff are very attentive, caring and go above and beyond. You can sit in or grab a takeaway, the food is delicious. Great portion sizes and good value for money. Try it, you won’t be disappointed it’s a go to of ours each week
A short walk from our hotel. We both love Indian food and I make my own at home so off we went. Now - I appreciate that my fav Indian meal will be different in every restaurant. So have an open mind and expect variation. Pleasant decor, tables not too tight together. Poppadom to start - the dips had some substance to them, not watery as at some place. All good. We had lamb madras each. One portion of rice and one Nan. Its plenty for us. The Madras was, as expected, hot and spicy, the amount of lamb generous and 'melt in the mouth' - beautifully tender. And we had a cooling dessert. We had drinks too - and the bill represented really good value. Service - couldn't fault it. Staff were welcoming and friendly. It was also a joy to see 6-7 children also enjoying a curry. Give it a go
The chhole puri chaat was different from what I was expecting. Very tasty nonetheless. Would be back to try their vegetarian dishes. Chef's special Akhini curry served with saffron rice had a generous portion. Though the meat wasn't as tender as one might expect, overall it was yummy.
The food is 10/10 and the service is good the manager i think he is the manager gave me free desert and is really nice!.
